*SCAPE X SGMUSO ALT. MUSIC RESIDENCY
Are you an aspiring and committed original music artist? Join us as we’ve partnered up with *SCAPE to bring you another round of the ALT. Music Residency!
SGMUSO organised the demo drop open call from 8 July 2022 - 18 July 2022, to gather the 4 artists that would be selected by our experienced mentors.
For this edition, we’ve helped 4 promising musicians, write, produce, and release a 4-track EP with guidance from industry mentors: Bani Hidir from 53A, Jason Gelchen from Homeground Studios, Tabitha Boon from Noivil Studios and Tim De Cotta from Warrior Productions.
These musicians were also given the opportunity to perform on *SCAPE Music Day Out! 2022 main stage.
After the artists were chosen, they were each paired up with their respective mentors in working towards their 4-track EP. Over the course of this programme, they were not only mentored but were also given the opportunity to showcase their music and had extended support from the residency.
Their first singles were released on 31 March 2023 and they will be releasing their EPs soon.

SGMUSO aims to extend this programme further by create workshops, panels and more for those who signed up for the ALT. Music Residency to ensure that everyone is given an opportunity to learn and experience more even if they did not make the cut. We aim to create an environment where everyone and anyone can have the opportunity to grow as an artist.
